In fact, these Tanzanian Peaberry beans are some of the rarest on the market! In each harvest, only10% of the beans will usually make the cut. Consequently, each batch of high-quality coffee cherries must be sorted by hand.
Carefully Cultivated On The Slopes Of Mount Kilimanjaro In Tanzania
Moreover, Tanzania Peaberry coffee beans are grown in the fertile volcanic loam soil of Mount Kilimanjaro. This dormant volcano is located in Northern Tanzania. It represents the highest peak in the entire continent of Africa! At an altitude of 19,330 feet, these slopes provide the ideal environment for slow growth and rich flavor development in coffee beans. With ample tree shade and precipitation, high-grown Tanzanian coffee is similar in many ways to Kenyan coffee. With that being said, for milder acidity and a creamier profile, most people prefer Peaberry coffee.

What is Tanzania Peaberry Coffee?
Peaberry beans are small, round coffee beans with a cleft in the middle; they have a richer flavor than their oval-shaped counterparts, often rendering a livelier cup with a full-body, light roast, and distinguished aroma. Peaberry coffee is rare; only 10% of all coffee develops with this characteristic. As a result, beans must be hand-sorted from the rest.
Is Peaberry Coffee less acidic?
From the high elevations of Mount Kilimanjaro, this varietal of Arusha Arabica coffee is nurtured in the volcanic soils and perfect climate conditions. Offering a lively cup of light-medium roast coffee, Tanzanian Beans displays many characteristics of Kenyan coffee, though slightly lighter in acidity. While many dark roast blends are known for their low acidity, this natural low-acid coffee can be enjoyed in a range of styles. Enjoy french press light roast grinds, or opt for whole bean, espresso, or ground variations. No matter what grind you choose, this perfect roast delivers superior flavors with gentle acidity!
Does Peaberry Coffee Have More Caffeine?
No, peaberry and flat berry coffee does not have any more caffeine than regular coffee. This is true for flat berry, peaberry, or other similar blends. Like regular coffee, the caffeine content is also not impacted by the roast. A dark roast french press brew will have the same caffeine content as a light roast. However, keep in mind that espresso tends to have more caffeine simply because it's denser and contains more coffee beans per ounce in general.
Experience a light roast coffee that is full of flavor!
This decadent and rare Tanzanian Peaberry Coffee is available in a range of grind styles and two different bag sizes. Choose from 8oz or 16oz quantities. Then, you can select from three freshly medium-light roasted grind styles. These grinds are Ground, Whole Bean, Espresso, and French Press.
