This Organic Nicaraguan coffee comes from the Ceocafen cooperative organization in Matagalpa, Jinotega, and the surrounding regions. This coop focuses on producing the finest quality gourmet coffee using ecological farming practices, as well as improving the lives of its 2,600 active members through the Fair Trade coffee programs. The beans are grown between 4 and 5 thousand feet above sea level and are harvested from November to March. They are fully washed and then sun-dried to prepare them for the February through July export season. The result is a rich cup of medium-roasted organic Nicaraguan coffee. In this region of Nicaragua, the July export season is important to Fair Trade coffee farmers and to the 2,600 active members of the Ceocafen Cooperative Organization. During the July export season, the entire Ceocafen Cooperative Organization works together to ensure that these beans are carefully packaged and exported using responsible practices. As such, this organic Nicaraguan coffee is of the highest quality and is exported fresh and ready for roasting!

Freshly Medium-Roasted Organic Nicaraguan Fair Trade Coffee

This rich and delicious organic Nicaraguan coffee is medium-roasted fresh to ensure superior flavors, oils, and aromatic properties. Since we medium-roast the organic Nicaraguan coffee beans, subtle flavors are developed and a creamy mellow body becomes detectable.

How does this organic Nicaraguan coffee compare to similar brews?

Two brews that are similar to this Nicaraguan coffee include organic Haitian Blue Mountain coffee and Columbian Mesa de Los Santos coffee. The Arabica coffee beans from all three of these regions are usually high-grown and display medium-body flavors with citrusy notes. Moreover, both Nicaraguan coffee and organic Haitian Blue Mountain coffee display creamy nutty flavors. Then, Columbian Mesa de Los Santos coffee and medium-roasted organic Nicaraguan coffee both are rich with decadent oils and smooth flavors. However, if you want the nutty profile, citrusy notes, and medium body creaminess all at once, then the best way to get it is through organic high-grown medium-roasted Nicaraguan coffee beans like these.

Cheers for Timor

The Timor coffee makes a nice cup - mild, slightly sweet, and a great way to start the day.

Excellent medium roast coffee

This coffee is excellent. I like the medium roast, not too bitter taste for both espresso and cappuccino. Shipment time to my home in California from the east coast of a week was longer than I desired, but the coffee tasted fresh for weeks and produces very nice espresso crema. I won't change it with any packed beans coffee in store sitting on the shelf, as with this coffee I know it was roasted close to order time. Keeping in air-tight container kept its freshness for many weeks.
