This tea is cultivated in the city of Ratnapura, Sri Lanka, also known as the City of Gems. The mountain ranges and valleys that extend from sea level to 2,000 feet produce teas with a full spectrum of body and flavor. The drier weather from January through March produces rich gold (almost red) colored, heavy, nutty flavor.
Ceylon Ratnapura is one of the heaviest teas produced in the world. This black tea has a special style leaf that is halfway between a Broken Orange Pekoe and Pekoe. The Orange Pekoe leaf provides a distinctly less heavily bodied cup than the BOP. This low country black tea is named after the southwest Ratnapura district, which is 100km south of Colombo.
It's a favorite all over the world, and with such an incredible flavor, don't wait; order your Ceylon Ratnapura OP Special Black Tea today!

This tea is really, really good.
Thank you guys for carrying such a great tea. Rich and smoky flavor.... Lapsang Souchong tea is definitely one of my husband’s favorite, as well as mine. It’s been hard to find it until I tried your company’s brand. Thank you so much for having a great quality tea. We will continue ordering from you.
We have also order the “birthday cake” flavored coffee! I look forward to experiencing that as well.
As a avid tea drinker this was my first time trying this one. The smokiness is the first bouquet that tickles the senses, then as the amber sweetness encompasses your taste buds it's rich complex smoldering ember flavors of a very smooth black tea in it's purest form. I shared this with a co-worker who is also an avid tea drinker and he said that it was the most unique tea he has tried and really enjoyed it.
Awesome tea at cheap prices! There's not much more you could ask for.
Excellent dark tea to start the day!
